Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota to Showcase "Faces of Fearless"

Campaign will launch with opportunity to record personal stories of inspiration at North Star College Cup Hockey Tournament, January 23-24

EAGAN, Minn., Jan. 22, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- via PRWEB - Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota (Blue Cross) wants to discover those Minnesotans who exemplify what it means to "Live Fearless."

The "Faces of Fearless" campaign is a chance for people to share their stories about how they or someone they know has faced a challenge, overcame adversity or simply inspired others by living in the moment. By telling these types of stories through livefearlessmn.com, participants may be highlighted on the "Live Fearless Minnesota" website or potentially featured in a future Blue Cross campaign.

"Faces of Fearless" will officially launch in conjunction with Blue Cross' Gopher Sports sponsorship of the North Star College Cup (NSCC) Hockey Tournament, January 23 and 24 at the Xcel Energy Center, St. Paul, Minn. Visitors to the NSCC Tournament can record and submit their story at the Blue Cross "Faces of Fearless" video booth located on the arena concourse between sections 101 and 126. Everyone who records a story at the booth will be entered automatically to win a four-pack of tickets to the Minnesota Gophers Men's Hockey game versus Michigan State on Friday, February 27.

"Blue Cross wants bring to life what it means to 'Live Fearless' and celebrate those great and inspiring stories," said Brooks Deibele, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota vice president of Group Markets. "As a health insurer, Blue Cross is dedicated to making sure that our members have the security that comes with stable and reliable coverage. That peace of mind can help them focus on achieving their goals, overcoming challenges or realizing a dream. It's what 'Faces of Fearless' is all about. We want to showcase moments of people living life to the fullest."

Contest entries can be in the form of a 60-second or shorter video, a brief essay and/or a photo. The submission period for entries to the website is between now and March 1. Entrants must be at last 18-years-old and reside in Minnesota. All submissions will become the property of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota.
