ReferenceUSA Unveils Exciting New Products at ALA Midwinter

OMAHA, Neb., Jan. 30, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- ReferenceUSA, a SaaS reference and research database from Infogroup, announced today that it will exhibit at the American Library Association's Midwinter Conference held in Chicago, Illinois from January 30 to February 2. This marks the nineteenth year ReferenceUSA will exhibit at the show, which is expected to have 10,000 attendees and more than 4,000 exhibitors.

ReferenceUSA will be demonstrating a product enhancement, set to release later this year, allowing users to overlay hundreds of layers of demographic and firmographic data onto a map. This data will be especially useful for entrepreneurs performing site selection research for new businesses. In addition, all consumer data is household level rather than zip code or neighborhood level; providing detailed and targeted market research. ReferenceUSA not only offers state-of-the-art mapping capabilities such as heat maps and classic view maps, but all data can be exported into presentation-ready images for business plans, reports and formal presentations. Librarians will get the chance to demo the enhancement and provide firsthand product feedback.

In addition to exhibiting, ReferenceUSA will once again sponsor the "Gala Author Tea" bringing together bestselling authors to discuss their writing life and upcoming books. Steve Laird, president of ReferenceUSA, will be Master of Ceremonies for the Gala Author Tea. He is a member of the United for Libraries Board who has been a champion-level member of ALA for over a decade,

"For me, the Gala Author Tea is the premier event at ALA," said Laird, "We've been proud sponsors of the event for many years now, and every year hundreds of librarians come to hear these amazing authors speak. We also offer a limited amount of tickets to existing customers, allowing them to take part in the Tea at no charge."

ReferenceUSA currently has information on more than 24 million businesses and 235 million consumers. Library patrons can use the database to research companies, create business plans, write research papers and find new customers. ReferenceUSA will be exhibiting at ALA in booth 3214.
