Laguna Hills Chiropractor Joins Precision Spinal Care

LAGUNA HILLS, Calif., Feb. 1, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Laguna Hills chiropractic team at Precision Spinal Care announces the recent addition of Dr. Weiss to the practice. Dr. Weiss will be providing chiropractic services for Laguna Hills and the surrounding area. He joins fellow chiropractor, Dr. Hansen, and chiropractic assistant, Christina Mitchell, at the Mcintyre Street office.

According to Dr. Hansen, the practice specializes in providing the NUCCA (National Upper Cervical Chiropractic Association) Procedure, a procedure that focuses on adjustment of the C-1 vertebra, or atlas, which is the topmost bone in the cervical spine. Correct adjustment of this bone ensures proper function and balance of the skeletal system, said the Laguna Hills chiropractor.

A graduate of Cleveland Chiropractic College in Los Angeles, Dr. Weiss states,"The body was designed to be healthy. Finding out what is interfering with the health process in each individual is what I strive to discover. Over the last 4 years, I have searched for the keys to overall health and wellness by helping correct people structurally. I feel it is important to empower people with the information necessary to provide the best answers for their health challenges. As a kid, I faced these challenges myself, so I understand their pain and frustrations. I am dedicated to helping resolve these issues as quickly, safely and comfortably as possible."

According to Dr. Weiss, he once suffered from chronic neck and shoulder pain, TMJ, headaches and lower back pain. After trying many different procedures before finally receiving relief through chiropractic adjustments, Dr. Weiss became passionate about helping others. He states that in many cases, NUCCA care can provide that help.

Dr. Weiss further discussed the procedure by saying that as part of the treatment, each patient is given a detailed physical evaluation that reveals whether or not an applicable form of spinal imbalance exists. Typically, patients that respond best to NUCCA care are those that have a raised shoulder or hip on one side, a leg that may be shorter than the other or unequal weight distribution when walking or standing.

Dr. Weiss explained that NUCCA care has the potential to provide patients with dramatic symptomatic relief during the initial phases of treatment, but that some patients may experience temporary new symptoms as their bodies become accustomed to their proper alignments.

An active outdoor enthusiast, Dr. Weiss describes spending his off duty time seeking new adventures. He states that his main goal is to help his patients maximize their potential to lead healthful, active lives.

Dr. Hansen said, "We are excited to have Dr. Weiss join our team and share his passion with our patients. We believe he will be a great addition to our team."
