Bosch Home Appliances Wins "Best Kitchen Product" Award at the 2015 International Builders' Show (IBS)

IRVINE, CA--(Marketwired - Feb 2, 2015) - Bosch home appliances, the premier European kitchen design brand, has been named the winner of the Best Kitchen Product award at the 2015 International Builders' Show (IBS) for its Benchmark Wall Oven. The award was presented by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) at the third annual Best of IBS Awards ceremony on Thursday, January 22th. Dan Kenny, director of brand marketing for Bosch, attended the ceremony to accept the award for Bosch.

"It's truly an honor for Bosch to receive the Best Kitchen Product award at IBS 2015," said Dan Kenny, director of brand marketing for Bosch. "When the Benchmark line debuted, we knew it would set new design and performance benchmarks for the industry. This award is further testament to that fact. We couldn't be more pleased with the reception this product, and the entire Benchmark line, continues to receive throughout our industry."

The Bosch Benchmark Wall Oven uses a universal cutout design making it easier than ever to replace and upgrade existing appliances. Featuring left or right swing SideOpening doors and built-in flush installation, this ADA compatible product offers improved ergonomic access to the wall oven cavity. Available as a single or double wall oven, the product offers multiple installation options such as stacked and horizontal installation, as well as a French door application, to meet the needs of modern and transitional kitchens. The Benchmark Wall Oven includes features such as AutoProbe, which takes the guesswork out of cooking meats to the appropriate temperature, and an EcoChef function that helps save energy while delivering optimal cooking results by using residual heat in the oven cavity to complete the cooking process.

The Benchmark Wall Oven was selected by a panel of judges consisting of media and building professionals. The product's SideOpening doors and variety of design and installation options were key factors in the final decision made by the judges. According to the NAHB, this year the panel received 400 award entries, a record number of submissions, from approximately 200 exhibitors. The winning entries were chosen for demonstrating the best combination of design, functionality, innovation and usefulness.
