Utah Venture Entrepreneur Forum Announces Winners of Its Peak 100 and EPIC Ventures Hot 100 Awards

Utah's Influential Professionals and Companies Recognized

SALT LAKE CITY, UT--(Marketwired - Feb 4, 2015) - Utah Venture Entrepreneur Forum (UVEF), a non-profit organization that recognizes entrepreneurs and helps them connect with mentors and capital, determined the winners of its 2014 Peak 100 and EPIC Ventures Hot 100 Awards. The Peak 100 Award, sponsored by Peak Ventures, recognizes entrepreneurs with Utah ties, while the EPIC Ventures Award, sponsored by EPIC Ventures, recognizes outstanding Utah companies that are less than five years old. In addition, 10 companies and entrepreneurs were selected from each list and named the Hot 100 Top 10 winners.

Like Silicon Valley, Utah is a hub for startups, fostering a collaborative and competitive community. UVEF identifies entrepreneurs with Utah ties that are most likely to favorably impact the community.

"UVEF has a long history of recognizing Utah's best entrepreneurs," said Ryan Westwood, UVEF Chairman and CEO of Outbox Systems. "I'm really excited about this list. Not only was it voted on by the board, but also by the entrepreneurship community in Utah." The list is composed of two-thirds public votes and one-third UVEF internal votes.

Among the top 10 winners for the Peak 100 Award include Aaron Skonnard (Pluralsight), Ryan Smith (Qualtrics), Greg Butterfield (Vivint Solar), David Elkington (Inside Sales), and Garrett Gee (Scan). Lucid Software, Fiber Fix, CotoPaxi, Domo, and NUVi are among the top 10 winners for the EPIC 100 Award.

Westwood thanks Peak Ventures and EPIC Ventures for their support and sponsorship of UVEF in identifying Utah's most influential startups and entrepreneurs.

Complete lists for Peak 100 and EPIC 100 awards are available through UVEF website.
