The Madison Square Garden Company Names Gregg Seibert Vice Chairman


NEW YORK, Feb. 6, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Madison Square Garden Company (Nasdaq:MSG) today announced that Gregg Seibert has been named vice chairman.

In his role as vice chairman, Mr. Seibert will work closely with MSG's executive team on the overall advancement of the sports, media and entertainment businesses. This will include utilizing his industry relationships and financial and strategic experience to identify and execute business opportunities and partnerships that further position the company for success.

AMC Networks also announced today that Mr. Seibert has been named vice chairman of the cable programming and entertainment company. In addition to this, Mr. Seibert continues in his role as vice chairman of Cablevision Systems Corporation. Over the last six years, Mr. Seibert has helped shape Cablevision's overall strategy while playing an instrumental role in a number of the company's key strategic initiatives including Cablevision's spin offs of The Madison Square Garden Company and AMC Networks Inc. Before joining Cablevision in 2009, Mr. Seibert held several senior leadership positions at Merrill Lynch including vice chairman, head of corporate finance and head of the global media practice.

Mr. Seibert received his MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
