Axios achieves G-Cloud framework recognition once again

Axios Systems, a leading provider of IT Service Management (ITSM) software, is pleased to announce its inclusion in the UK Government's latest G-Cloud procurement framework, G-Cloud 6.

LONDON, UK, Feb. 10, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- via PRWEB - Axios Systems, a leading provider of IT Service Management (ITSM) software, is pleased to announce its inclusion in the UK Government's latest G-Cloud procurement framework, G-Cloud 6. Axios will offer their market leading service management solution, assyst, as a SaaS solution under lot 3, Software as a Service (SaaS), through the Digital Marketplace.

Since its launch in June 2012, the framework has been a great success, with sales through the scheme reaching over £345m in December 2014 (i), up 59% in the last 6 months. The strong growth is underpinned by the G-Cloud initiative having made it mandatory for central government to adopt cloud computing before other options, thus boosting business and furthering savings and efficiencies.

In 2015, UK Government spend is forecasted to be £731.4bn (ii), a further increase on previous years. Investment in cloud technologies is integral to the UK's digital strategy. Indeed, by 2017, SaaS is set to generate almost 60% of cloud revenues (iii). This trend is replicated in the Service Management market, with IDC Research sponsored by Axios highlighting that every second company that now uses on-premise IT Service Management software plans to launch a cloud-based version within the next two years (iv).

Built on openness and transparency, G Cloud 6 will help public sector organizations find and compare cloud-based services, such as Axios's ITSM solution assyst, tailored to meet the needs of their organization. assyst already enables many local and central public bodies across the UK to become more efficient on a tighter IT budget without reducing their services. Xentrall Shared Services, a successful Public-Public partnership between Darlington and Stockton councils, reduced their email contacts by an impressive 98% through the adoption of online customer self-service, whilst achieving an 82% rise in customer satisfaction. Similarly, the Forestry Commission has dramatically reduced the number of phone calls to the service desk, freeing up analysts to focus on other key tasks and driving efficiencies across the business.

Tasos Symeonides, CEO at Axios Systems, said, "Being awarded a place as a G-Cloud 6 provider is key in allowing us to engage with public sector organizations across the UK to help them improve not only their infrastructure operations, but also to enhance service delivery across business functions including HR, Facilities Management and Finance."
