Global Chief Technology Officer Brad Hardin is based in Overland Park, Kansas. He is responsible for integrating hardware and software with company services. Among his efforts is a BIM initiative that uses 3-D laser scanning for prefabrication work at construction sites. Using 3-D to accurately model new and existing structures can save clients time and avoid cost overruns.

"Brad is an innovator who is devoted to making new technology work for our professionals so that we can better serve our clients," said Dan Kieny, the company's Chief Information Officer. "We're thrilled he's on our team as technology plays a larger role in our global growth plans."

Hardin worked as a LEED-accredited architect and technology integrator for various firms before joining Black & Veatch in 2014. ENR Midwest recognized Hardin's "ability to align technology with strategy" and noted his work at Black & Veatch on developing technological initiatives designed to support company operations.

Hardin has written numerous articles and publications on BIM practices. He is the author of the book BIM and Construction Management 2.0. Hardin is an active volunteer with the American Cancer Society. He also sits on the academic advisory board for the New School of Architecture in San Diego, California.
