AS "Saldus mežrūpniecība" informs that on February 18, 2015, the Competition Council on its website has published information about its decision to allow SIA "Kubit" to acquire indirect significant influence over AS "Saldus mežrūpniecība”. This decision was made taking into account the fact that the competition in the affected markets will not be significantly reduced.
AS "Saldus mežrūpniecība" previously informed (27.10.2104.), that SIA Juridiskais birojs "Merkants" and SIA "Kubit" has signed a contract on the sale of 27% AS "Saldus mežrūpniecība" shares. Share sale agreement has been concluded with the condition that it will enter into force when the Competition Council will give its consent to the sale of shares.
Currently SIA "Kubit" indirectly owns 44% of AS "Saldus mežrūpniecība" shares, after the execution of the transaction SIA "Kubit" intends to acquire additional 27% of AS "Saldus mežrūpniecība" shares from SIA Juridiskais birojs "Merkants", thereby obtaining a direct and indirect control over 71% of AS "Saldus mežrūpniecība" shares.
