Tomi Lähdeniemi appointed Senior Editor-in-Chief of Satakunnan Kansa

TOMI LÄHDENIEMI APPOINTED SENIOR EDITOR-IN-CHIEF OF SATAKUNNAN KANSA

Tomi Lähdeniemi, 41, Master of Arts, has been appointed Senior Editor-in-Chief
of Satakunnan Kansa as of 1 March 2015.  He has been acting as the newspaper’s
Senior Editor-in-Chief on a temporary basis since the end of September 2014.
Satakunnan Kansa is a part of the Alma Regional Media product family.

According to Lähdeniemi, it is the newspaper’s task to continue producing high
-quality journalistic content to suit the interests of the people in the region.

"Satakunnan Kansa has gained the trust of the people in the region; this can be
seen in the very high reader numbers of both the printed newspaper and the
online service. This is a great foundation to build on, but we need to regain
that trust every day", he notes.

He states that being a Satakunta local himself, he knows the region well, and,
thanks to his long working history, he is also well acquainted with the
employees of Satakunnan Kansa.

"I know what we are capable of. We have an excellent basis for running a
successful regional newspaper", Lähdeniemi continues.

Lähdeniemi has worked for Satakunnan Kansa for over a decade, including eight
years of experience of managerial positions as News Editor and supervisor.
