This includes demolishing a wall and rebuilding it using recycled materials from other parts of the plant. Installation of the perimeter fence was completed on 1/27/2015 around the front portion of the 7 acres of property. LED lights have been ordered and crews are currently preparing to upgrade to LED lights before March, 2015. All required permits for the state of North Carolina have been applied for. According to David Schmitt, COO of Hemp, Inc.'s subsidiary, Industrial Hemp Manufacturing, LLC, "after months of 'red tape' we are finally very close to having the permits issued. We should also have the blueprints any day now to submit to the county for approval." The blueprints, drawn by Meridian Engineering, is a layout of how the machinery will look inside the building with the exact dimensions.
