Aquatic Informatics Releases AQUARIUS Time-Series 3.8 -- The World's Award-Winning Platform for Water Resource Management

AQUARIUS Time-Series 3.8 Features an Enhanced Publish API to Develop Customized Tools and Solutions Using the Most Powerful Platform for Managing Time Series Environmental Data

VANCOUVER, BC--(Marketwired - February 23, 2015) - Aquatic Informatics Inc., a global leader in providing innovative software for water data management and analysis, today announced the release of AQUARIUS Time-Series 3.8. With over 400 customers in 37 countries and a growing global community of AQUARIUS Certified Integrators, Aquatic Informatics is focused on delivering the world's favorite platform for environmental resource management.

"With AQUARIUS Time-Series 3.8 we are releasing a second version of our Publish API, to allow our customers and growing partner network to more effectively build innovative tools, meet customized reporting requirements, and easily integrate AQUARIUS Time-Series with other business applications," said Eric Dorgelo, Chief Technology Officer at Aquatic Informatics. "AQUARIUS Time-Series is the most sophisticated and powerful platform for managing massive volumes of continuous environmental data. With the new Publish API, organizations worldwide can more easily leverage our platform to meet their specific environmental data management and analysis challenges."

AQUARIUS Time-Series 3.8 Highlights

New AQUARIUS Time-Series Publish API (Beta). Version 2 of the AQUARIUS Time-Series API provides enhanced programmatic access to AQUARIUS data objects and improved data structures. It is based on industry standard technologies REST and JSON. Developers can more easily test and explore the API via web browsers. Customers and partners can more efficiently integrate AQUARIUS Time-Series with other programs using auto-generated clients and parsers.

New Features in the AQUARIUS Profiling Toolbox. AQUARIUS Time-Series 3.8 now supports profile data that is recorded at fixed depths (or elevations): for example, data collected from a chain of fixed sensors suspended from floating buoys or from a number of sensors anchored to the wall of a dam or bridge pier. Users can compensate for profile data based on changing water levels over time and convert depths to elevations and vice versa. They can now also generate profile time series at fixed elevations (like the outlet of a reservoir).

AQUARIUS Time-Series Workstation support for Windows 8.1 and AQUARIUS Time-Series Server support for Windows Server 2012 R2.

Other Improvements. AQUARIUS Time-Series 3.8 delivers a number of additional enhancements, including speed improvements with the Rating Development Tool.

AQUARIUS Time-Series is the leading software for water data management. The world's most advanced environmental monitoring agencies -- including the US Geological Survey, Water Survey of Canada, and the National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research in New Zealand -- trust AQUARIUS Time-Series to achieve higher data integrity, defensibility, and timeliness. Its simple design delivers the latest science and industry techniques in an intuitive interface. It allows water resource managers to correct and quality control time series data, build better rating curves, and derive and publish water data in real-time to meet stakeholder expectations.

Aquatic Informatics customers are invited to take immediate advantage of the latest enhancements by downloading AQUARIUS Time-Series Version 3.8 from the AQUARIUS 360° Support Portal.
