MacAulay-Brown, Inc. CEO Keynotes Leadership Series at George Mason University

DAYTON, Ohio, Feb. 23, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) --  MacAulay-Brown, Inc. (MacB), a leading National Security company delivering advanced engineering services and product solutions to Defense, Intelligence, Special Operations Forces, Homeland Security and Federal agencies, announced today that on February 14, MacB President and CEO, Sid Fuchs was a guest lecturer at George Mason University on the importance of developing a strategic network and the power of leadership.

Speaking to more than 30 graduate students of the University's Master of Science in Secure Information Systems degree program, Fuchs demonstrated that to develop and maintain a truly powerful network  requires  certain guiding principles.

"Look at your network as a tangible asset with real value and power," Fuchs counseled the students. "But more important, understand that building relationships - and everything in life - comes down to trust, service and providing value. It's not about what you can get. It's about what you can give. That is how you build a powerful, long-lasting network."

"Sid's approach to networking and dynamic presentation style are truly unique," said Rich Klimoski, Professor of Psychology and Management Chair, Management Area at George Mason University. "The students were particularly interested in his counsel on how to balance the breadth and depth of relationships, which is not easy to do.  As mid-career professionals in the Cybersecurity sector, our students could easily see the applicability of the guidance being offered. Having examples from Sid's book also was very helpful by way of illustrating his points. The session could have easily gone on for several more hours."

Located in the heart of Northern Virginia's technology corridor near Washington, D.C., George Mason University is recognized as an innovative, entrepreneurial institution with global distinction in a range of academic fields.
