KMI to Unveil Next Generation of EHS Software Designed to Engage End Users at 2015 NAEM EHS and Sustainability Software Conference

TORONTO, Feb. 23, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- KMI, the leading provider of EHS Management Information Systems, announced that it will unveil version 5 (v5) of the KMI EHS Software Suite at the 2015 NAEM EHS and Sustainability Software Conference. The biannual conference is the premier event for corporate EHS and sustainability leaders evaluating management information systems (EHS MIS) and seeking industry benchmarks and best practices. Joining KMI for the v5 demonstration is Carlos Scheirer, Global Safety Director at Houghton International Inc.

Scheirer will demonstrate a day in the life of a Global Safety Director using the KMI system and will showcase KMI's user-configurable dashboards and reporting capabilities. He will share best practices for global adoption, gaining visibility, and leveraging the system to achieve EHS program success. The demonstration is set for Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at 10:15 a.m. and again at 11:15 a.m. in Ballroom 2 of the Westin Tampa Harbour Island (Tampa, Florida).

"We believe companies must be able to leverage their EHS software systems to engage employees. Our EHS solution promotes employee adoption by being easy to implement, easy to use, and by solving complex EHS and sustainability challenges with intuitive controls and reporting," said Matt Airhart, president of KMI. "As a Terabyte Sponsor of NAEM's EHS and Sustainability Software Conference, we are excited to share v5 with the thought leaders in safety and sustainability."

According to Airhart, KMI has attended every NAEM EHS software conference since its inception and has taken a leadership role this year by sponsoring the highly anticipated research paper "Approaches to Managing EHS & Sustainability Software Systems," which will be released at NAEM this week and available to the public in March. The report gathers EHS and sustainability data from 170 in-house EHS professionals and answers the following questions:

  • How are my peers selecting and managing their EHS and sustainability software systems?
  • What are the purchase drivers and critical business objectives for the software systems?
  • What system capabilities do past software purchasers use?
  • How long does it take to select new EHS software systems?
  • What lessons did my peers learn from undergoing the software system purchase and implementation process?
  • What should my budget be for a new system?

KMI is presenting a second breakout session entitled "Leveraging Your EHS Software System to Drive Culture Change." Led by KMI Product Manager, Andrew Holmes, the presentation will address ways EHS professionals can use software solutions to create a culture that fosters awareness and shared accountability for workplace safety and health, and environmental stewardship. Holmes' session (Breakout Session A) is scheduled for Tuesday, February 24 at 1:15 p.m. in Ballroom 2.
