PHOTO RELEASE -- Ingalls Shipbuilding Announces Fletcher Construction to Complete New Health Center

PASCAGOULA, Miss., Feb. 25, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Huntington Ingalls Industries (NYSE:HII) announced today that Fletcher Construction has been awarded the contract to renovate the building that will be the new Huntington Ingalls Industries Family Health Center at Ingalls Shipbuilding. The health center, scheduled to open this summer at 2105 Old Spanish Trail in Gautier, will offer primary care, radiology, physical therapy, on-site pharmacy and laboratory services for Ingalls employees and their covered dependents.

"Ingalls Shipbuilding is a long-standing economic pillar of this community, and our company is looking forward to providing work on this unique project," said Lance McCarty, co-owner of Fletcher Construction. "Ingalls means so much to Jackson County, the Gulf Coast and to the state of Mississippi. Our employees take pride in the working relationship we have with the state's largest private employer, and we are confident this will be a comforting health center facility for their employees."

Fletcher Construction has begun work to refurbish the building. When finished, the 14,500-square foot facility will have 13 examination rooms, four physical therapy rooms, an X-ray and chemistry lab, and other rooms for education and meetings. The health center will also have a fully operational pharmacy that includes drive-through service.

The health center will be operated by QuadMed, a nationally recognized innovator in offering on-site primary care centers and healthcare management solutions. When it opens, services will be available to eligible employees and their dependents who are covered by the Anthem consumer-driven health plan or preferred-provider option plans.

"We expect the health center to be a state-of-the-art facility that will make quality healthcare convenient and affordable for our employees and their families," said Edmond Hughes, Ingalls' vice president of human resources and administration.

The Huntington Ingalls Industries Family Health Center at Ingalls Shipbuilding is one of two new centers opening for HII employees. A second health center is being built at Newport News Shipbuilding in Virginia. The centers are part of HII's larger benefits strategy designed to engage employees and their families in their own health and wellness and make quality healthcare more accessible. The strategy also includes the recent addition of Teladoc, a program where employees can consult with board-certified physicians on non-emergency medical issues via telephone, mobile application or computer. Additionally, HII is offering a preferred rate for healthcare insurance to eligible employees who attest that they do not use tobacco or complete a tobacco-cessation program.
