Morgan Drexen to Continue Legal Process on Heals of Wisconsin Appeals Court Decision

Company Adamant About State's Misinterpretation of Company's Support Role

COSTA MESA, Calif., Feb. 25, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Expressing disappointment in a decision by a Wisconsin state court of appeals today, Morgan Drexen Integrated Systems (http://morgandrexen.com) announced that it intends to continue pursuing all legal recourse in its belief that a Wisconsin state examiner's misinterpreted definition of an adjustment service company created the situation which resulted in today's ruling.

"We are certainly disappointed with today's decision by the Wisconsin state court of appeals," said Jeffrey Katz, general counsel for Morgan Drexen. "The court of appeals, as well as the DFI, acknowledge that the 1935 statute 'is not a model for clarity.' We are adamant in our belief that the Wisconsin administrative law judge misinterpreted the definition of an adjustment service company, and with that misinterpretation has set the court in motion to make a decision that should never have been put in front of them in the first place. We will most certainly petition to have this decision reviewed by the Wisconsin Supreme Court."

Morgan Drexen maintains that its position is well documented, and that its clients have never been consumers, but rather attorneys who provide the debt settlement and bankruptcy services.

"Let's be clear about this, we provided support services for attorneys," said Morgan Drexen CEO, Walter Ledda. "Our services allowed attorneys to keep their costs down, which in turn allowed them to make affordable legal options available to people who are deeply in debt and cannot afford to turn anywhere else. We always operate within the parameters given to us by the attorneys. It's very clear to us that in Wisconsin, it is the attorney who is the licensed entity and it is that attorney who is indeed allowed to perform adjustment services – our role is in providing their support functions."

"It's also important that all parties involved understand that the attorneys we support have helped more than 20,000 people become debt free," added Katz.
