The store, which is approximately 8,000 square feet, includes apparel and accessories for both girls and guys as well as rue21's newest and fastest-growing division, rue+ plus sizes. Customers will be able to shop a wide selection of trendy product across all categories including apparel, footwear, fragrance, beauty and room décor.
rue21 has experienced dramatic growth over the years and has propelled the brand into a destination for teens by delivering fast fashion at a great value. The teen retailer opened its first rueGuy format most recently in 2013, providing its male customer with a broader selection of fashion-forward product and new merchandise opportunities. In 2014, the company again reached a milestone with the launch of rue+. Available at rue21.com and in select stores nationwide, rue+ merchandise, which ranges in sizes 14-24 (1x-3x), is comparable to the already great values in junior sportswear. The flagship store opening today is the first in the Pittsburgh region to offer plus sizes.

The lounge will serve as an area where the teen customers can relax and interact, transforming it into a hangout. A "selfie" area is also visible outside the fitting rooms where shoppers can try on the newest trends and share on social media.
The grand opening for the store will expand over two weekends, including DJs, giveaways, live radio station broadcasts, and local student VIP nights.
