Project “The promotion of AB Vilkyskiu Pienine’s exports at international exhibitions” completed


Having used support from EU structural funds, the company has completed the implementation of its project “The promotion of AB Vilkyskiu Pienine’s exports at international exhibitions”, project No. VP2-2.1-ŪM-04-K-04-070, under the EU support measure New Opportunities VP2-2.1-ŪM-04-K. As part of the project, Vilyskiu Pienine’s products were presented at these exhibitions: Anuga 2013, Gulfood 2014, Prodexpo 2014, SIAL 2014, Gulfood 2015 and Prodexpo 2015.

At each of these exhibitions, Vilkyskiu Pienine’s stands attracted considerable interest, resulting in the distribution of large numbers of handouts to the public as well as active communication about the group and its products. In addition, the company established many new business contacts with potential customers, which it hopes will open up new export channels for the future.

Vilkyskiu Pienine’s cheese Jubiliejinis 1934 was awarded a gold medal at the ProdExpo 2014 in Moscow in the Innovative Product category, also claiming silver in the Best Product 2014 contest.

Vilkyškių Pieninė was named among the global food industry innovation leaders at SIAL 2014, the world’s leading food industry trade fair in Paris. The professional SIAL Innovation jury picked not one, but two products made by Vilkyškių Pieninė, out of more than 1,500 contenders. The winning products were a kefir dairy drink in 330 g packages and a line of cheese spreads, both bearing the group’s international trademark Vilvi.  

The duration of the project was from 14 November 2013 until 24 February 2015. The value of the project was EUR 62,000, of which 60 pct was financed from the European Fund for Reconstruction and Development.
