WAKEFIELD, Mass., March 2, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Comverse (Nasdaq:CNSI), a global leader in cloud-based and in-network services enablement and monetization software solutions for communication service providers and growing enterprises, releases the newest version of Comverse ONE Converged Billing and Active Customer Management Suite, as the next generation billing solution for service providers competing in today's digital world.

Comverse's new version of Comverse ONE delivers enhanced monetization capabilities through solutions tailored to support subscribers' use of emerging digital services. The new version reduces hardware footprint and lowers total cost of ownership (TCO) by implementing new industry standards and the latest virtualization technologies. Additionally, the Online Charging Solution (OCS) which is part of this Comverse ONE release, allows for stand-alone prepaid charging or real-time usage control for postpaid subscribers. TCO benefits of Comverse ONE are further amplified through Managed Services from Comverse.

"Service providers in both emerging and mature markets are compelled to evolve their service offerings toward business models that stress new revenues from advanced digital services," said Denis Bernaert, Senior Vice President, Managing Director of the BSS business unit at Comverse. "By shifting their business model with more intelligent billing to fully leverage advanced mobile broadband networks, service providers will be better positioned to compete in the new digital age. The Comverse ONE roadmap is specifically designed to help them make this transition."

Two Comverse BSS clients are implementing the latest version of Comverse ONE, and will use the advanced monetization capabilities to address new opportunities presented by LTE launches in 2015.

Comverse will be demoing its Comverse ONE Converged Billing and Active Customer Management Suite at the Comverse booth (3L20) at Mobile World Congress 2015, March 2-5 in Barcelona.
