INTEGAN DECIDES TO USE TELESTE FOR THEIR 1.2 GHZ NETWORK UPGRADE
Teleste has been selected as the vendor for Integan’s 1.2 GHz network upgrade project. Under the agreement Teleste provides Integan amplifiers and outdoor passives enabling delivery of new broadband services according to DOCSIS 3.1 standard. DOCSIS 3.1 enables multigigabit broadband speeds to be offered to subscribers.
The Integan vendor selection was based on public bidding process. The selection criteria were based on price, product performance, delivery and support capability as well as customer references. The total value of the agreement is estimated to exceed EUR 3 million within years 2015-2018.
Integan is a cable network operator for the communities within Antwerp region in Belgium. Integan is owned by the communities themselves. The cable infrastructure is used to deliver TV, radio, Internet access and telephony services to the subscribers.
