Sales in February

Baltika’s consolidated sales revenue for February totalled 3,404 thousand euros, increasing by 3% compared to the same period last year continued operations revenue.

Baltika’s consolidated retail sales revenue for February was 2,843 thousand euros, decreasing 5% compared to the same period last year. Retail sales increased in Baltic states by 1%, thereof increased in Latvia by 8% and in Estonia by 2%, in Lithuania sales decreased by 5%. In February average operating area in Baltics decreased by 1%. In Russia, retail sales decreased by 39% compared to same period previous year. In local currency sales decreased in Russia by 5%. In the same period sales area in Russia decreased by 15%.

In February two retail network stores were closed in Russia. At the end of February Baltika Group had 127 stores, among which franchise stores – 5 in Russia, 5 in Spain, 2 franchise stores in Belarus and 14 operating franchise stores in Ukraine. Average month sales area of shops operated by Baltika decreased by 3% compared to the same period last year.

Wholesale increased by 83% compared to February in previous year, e-com sales increased by 165%.

Sales revenue for two months totalled 8,227 thousand euros, remaining at the level of same period in previous year. Retail sales revenue was 7,016 thousand euros (-6% yoy), thereof Baltic states sales remained at the last year level. Wholesale was 1,051 thousand euros (+52% yoy) and e-com revenues 150 thousand euros (+173% yoy).

In connection with Baltika’s reorganisation of Ukrainian retail business and selling the company there (agreement was signed on 29 April 2014), the sales revenue of the Ukrainian entity is presented as discontinued operation. Sales announcement presents only the results of continuing operations unless indicated otherwise.
