USHCC to Host Federal Agency Procurement Matchmaking at 2015 Legislative Summit

WASHINGTON, March 5, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) will host a federal agency procurement matchmaking program in partnership with My Business Matches during its annual Legislative Summit, taking place March 24-26, 2015 at the JW Marriott in Washington, D.C. The Legislative Summit - the USHCC's premier political and legislative advocacy event - offers guests valuable networking opportunities, trainings, roundtable discussions, and the chance to meet with congressional representatives on Capitol Hill. Last year, 26 federal agency buyers and 80 suppliers participated at the Legislative Summit's matchmaking event, for a total of 300 unique business appointments.

"With the help of our partners at My Business Matches, our Legislative Summit offers Hispanic business owners an unappalled opportunity to meet and secure contracts with numerous federal agencies. In a single day, our members interact with dozens of public officials, enabling them to develop valuable business relationships with minimal time and travel," said USHCC President & CEO Javier Palomarez. "We're delighted to host this groundbreaking event once again in Washington, and hope to broker an all-time record number of secured contracts during our 2015 Legislative Summit."

The 2015 Federal Agency Procurement Matchmaking Event will take place on Wednesday, March 25, 2015, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. To register for the Federal Agency Procurement Matchmaking Event, visit https://ushcc.mybusinessmatches.com.

"As a Veteran Hispanic owned company, My Business Matches is proud to partner with the USHCC for its procurement business matchmaking sessions. The USHCC is a pioneer because they understand the value of providing access and placing their members at a table with federal procurement buyers looking to do business with minority owned businesses. With MBM's cloud solution and USHCC's reach, this partnership is growing Hispanic owned businesses across the county. These matchmakers are only getting better," said Jeff Vigil, MBM president and CEO.

The Legislative Summit will also include the Opening Reception, Hispanic Business Luncheon, Hill Day, and closing Gala. Last year, the USHCC held the most successful Legislative Summit in its 35 year history. Businesses and local chambers engaged 62 members of Congress, including 32 Democrats and 30 Republicans. Guests heard from our nation's most prominent political leaders, including Vice President Joe Biden, Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi, Congressman Paul Ryan and Senator John McCain -- making it among the only bipartisan gatherings of elected officials, corporate executives, and business leaders in America.
