Nominations for WXN Canada's Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Awards Now Open

WXN Celebrates International Women's Day by Shining a Spotlight on Remarkable Women

TORONTO, ON--(Marketwired - Mar 6, 2015) - The Women's Executive Network (WXN) is delighted to announce that in celebration of International Women's Day, Nominations for the 13th annual Canada's Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Awards are now open.

Created in 2003, the Top 100 Awards celebrates the professional achievements of remarkable female leaders across the country in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors. WXN has honoured 800 inspiring women, inducting 106 of these women into the WXN Top 100 Hall of Fame.

"When I first launched the Awards in 2003, there was a lot of doubt as to whether we would be able to find 100 women each year -- let alone 100 women in one year -- to honour with this Award," says WXN Founder, Pamela Jeffery. "Now, 12 years later, we've honoured 800 women. Clearly, there is no shortage of remarkable Canadian women."

This is why the Top 100 Awards are so important, they highlight the accomplishments of remarkable Canadian women -- that might not be otherwise celebrated -- so that the future generation of female leaders have strong, inspiring role models to look up to.

The Awards are divided into nine different categories: BMO Arts & Communications; RBC Champions; Accenture Corporate Directors; Scotiabank Corporate Executives; CIBC Entrepreneurs; TELUS Future Leaders; KPMG Professionals; PwC Public Sector Leaders; and, Sun Life Financial Trailblazers & Trendsetters.

Women who are being awarded for a fourth time are inducted into the WXN Hall of Fame. Nominations are open to the public, and each Top 100 Award Winner is selected by an independent Advisory Board.

The Nomination form can be completed online at https://www.top100women.ca/nominations, and is also available in French at https://www.prixtop100.ca.
