Caverion and Schlumberger agree on technical maintenance of production plants in Russia

Caverion has signed a contract with the oilfield services company Schlumberger for technical maintenance of production plants and office buildings in Surgut district and Astrakhan, Russia.

The contract covers the maintenance of all technical systems in these facilities: heating and sanitation, ventilation and air conditioning, electricity, information and communication services, and security and safety systems. The contract came into force in the beginning of February 2015, and it is valid for 3 years. The parties have agreed not to disclose the value of the contract.

The contract employs 39 Caverion employees in Surgut region and 8 in Astrakhan. In addition to production plants, the maintenance is provided for office and warehouse facilities, parking garages, car washes and machine repair workshops. The total area of the production plants is around 300 000 m2 and the offices 70 000 m2. Caverion is also responsible for the maintenance of service crane beams, overhead and jib cranes, crane ways and maintenance lift mechanisms.

“The contract is important for us as Caverion is expanding its presence in Russia. The production plants are especially interesting sites as the systems we maintain in them are extensive and complex,” says Viacheslav Karpovich, the head of Caverion’s operations in Moscow.

Schlumberger belongs to Caverion’s Industry client segment. It is the world’s leading supplier of technology, integrated project management and information solutions to customers working in the oil and gas industry worldwide.
