IT – INET – Reminder – Mandatory OUCH change (14/15)

As previously communicated in IT-Notices 3/15, 107/14, 102/14, 88/14, 76/14 and 73/14, Nasdaq Nordic and Baltic will enhance the Self-Trade Prevention (STP) functionality. The functionality has been available in the INET Production environment since December 8, 2014.

Members using OUCH will need to support the new STP fields even though they will not use the STP service, therefore this change is mandatory for all OUCH users effective April 13, 2015. Using the old version of OUCH will lead to order rejects from this date.

With the introduction of STP, the current Self-Match Prevention (SMP) functionality will be retired.

Nasdaq Nordic will also add source IP validation with the new version of OUCH. Members  will need to supply their source IP addresses/subnets when applying for reconfiguration of OUCH ports in INET Nordic production.

Step by step:

1.   Contact Member Services to apply for reconfiguration of OUCH ports and OUCH DROP ports to the new version in OTF.
2.   When users are ready with development and testing in OTF, the application needs to be certified. Contact Nasdaq Tech Support, to schedule a certification time slot.
3.   When certification is done, the user is ready for migration of OUCH ports (and OUCH DROPs) for production use. Activation of the new OUCH version is available once a week on Thursdays. Contact Member Services by Tuesday the latest for activation on the following Thursday. Current Self-Match Prevention configuration will be de-activated.

Protocol specifications and Certification information

Protocol specifications and Certification Test Cases are available at Nasdaq Nordic Technical Information web site.

NOTE for FIX users!

Please note that Self-Trade Prevention is available for FIX users as well although it does not require any configuration change of FIX ports. Testing and certification of FIX applications is mandatory prior to use of the STP functionality in production. Deactivation of current SMP does also apply for FIX users. FIX DROP for OUCH users, listening to OUCH messages, shall be able to handle the new STP fields received.
