TDC announces that Gunnar Evensen, Chief Executive Officer of Get AS and TDC AS (Norway), is appointed member of the Executive Committee with responsibility for Norway, and Erik Heilborn, Chief Executive Officer of TDC Sweden AB, is appointed member of the Executive Committee with responsibility for Sweden. Gunnar Evensen and Erik Heilborn will take up the appointments on 9 March 2015.
Both appointments are a significant step to further strengthen TDC as the leading Scandinavian communications solutions and home entertainment company.
Gunnar Evensen, who is 52 years old, holds a master in business administration from BI Norwegian Business School, Oslo, and has been employed in Get AS, a subsidiary of TDC, since 1998, from 2000 as Chief Executive Officer of Get. Gunnar Evensen previously held management positions in Apple Computer and Telia Sonera.
Erik Heilborn, who is 52 years old, holds a Master of Science in Engineering from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, and has been employed in TDC Sweden AB, a subsidiary of TDC, since 2009 as Chief Executive Officer of TDC Sweden AB. Erik Heilborn previously was Chief Executive Officer and President for IBS AB, Head of Business Segment at Telia Sonera Sweden, President of Telia International Carrier AB and Chief Executive Officer of Telenordia AB. Previous to this Erik held management and sales positions in Sprint International, BT and Digital Equipment.
Besides being members of the Executive Committee of TDC A/S, Gunnar Evensen and Erik Heilborn will continue as Chief Executive Officers of Get AS/TDC Norway AS and TDC Sweden AB, respectively.
At the same time, TDC announces that member of the Executive Committee Asger Hattel who is responsible for Nordic, Wholesale, Transformation and TAK, has given in his resignation to take up a position as member of the Executive Committee with responsibility for Merchant Services in Nets. Asger Hattel resigns at the latest by the end of March 2015.
For the present Wholesale will refer to Carsten Dilling, President and Group Chief Executive Officer.
Nordic will be covered by the two new positions in the Executive Committee with responsibility for Norway and Sweden, respectively. Responsibility for Transformation and TAK will be transferred to TDC Group Strategy.
