Vilnius, Lithuania, 2015-03-10 15:18 CET (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Board of Lietuvos Dujos has adopted a decision to change the legal status of the structural units operating in regions, i.e. branches, as of 1 June 2015. The operations of the branches will be terminated and departments of the gas network of the respective regions will be established in the regions (Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipėda, Šiauliai and Panevėžys). The actions ensuring smooth and successful restructuring of the organisation will be accomplished till 1 June 2015.
The decision to change the legal status of the branches of Lietuvos Dujos has been adopted with a view to facilitating the management of the company and making it more efficient. Lietuvos Dujos is a part of the state-owned energy company group Lietuvos energija UAB. Lietuvos energija owns 96.64 per cent of the shares of Lietuvos Dujos.
