Lebenthal Holdings, LLC Releases Second Issue of SAYRA Magazine, the Voice of Female Financial Advisors

Cover Story Looks at Investing in Women-led Companies

NEW YORK, N.Y., March 11, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- via PRWEB - Lebenthal Holdings, LLC, announced today the publication of the second issue of SAYRA magazine, the new digital publication exclusively devoted to female financial advisors (FAs). SAYRA is named after Wall Street pioneer Sayra Lebenthal, who co-founded the company in 1925 with her husband, Louis Lebenthal, and remained active in the firm into her 90s.

Conceived and engineered by Alexandra Lebenthal, CEO of Lebenthal Holdings and Sayra Lebenthal's granddaughter, SAYRA is published quarterly and distributed in electronic form to over 90,000 female FAs who control or advise on more than $3 trillion in client assets.

"We sent the maiden issue of SAYRA out to some 90,000 female FAs and, not surprisingly, a lot of their male colleagues were reading over their shoulders," said Ms. Lebenthal. "They, too, liked what they saw. Turns out that helpful content is gender-blind, but we will stick to our knitting and continue to serve up investment and career ideas and advice with the female FA in mind."

The second issue of SAYRA includes the following line-up of articles:

The cover story, "Investing in Women," addresses a new asset class, or as some are calling it, "an emerging market" of investing in companies run by women. This is especially timely, and easily accomplished, with the recent launch of a mutual fund, a hedge fund and an issue of Exchange Traded Notes focused on women-led companies. The article also profiles Elizabeth Street Capital, a fund created by the Tory Burch Foundation in conjunction with Bank of America to provide low cost loans to women-owned businesses.

"I believe we are at a tipping point in regards to investing in women," said Ms. Lebenthal. "Investors have come to realize there is money to be made by investing in women."

In "The Value of Truly Listening," four successful female advisors were asked if they have ever faced a challenge with a female client or worked with a difficult client and, if so, to explain their solutions. SAYRA reveals their candid answers.

"8 Tips for Women Contemplating Remarriage," suggests that a client's second and third marriage is an opportunity for an advisor to proactively help their clients make informed, rational decisions on money and financial issues.

In "Life Needs Frosting," Alexandra Lebenthal conducts a one-on-one interview with Kat Cole, President and COO of Cinnabon.

SAYRA also includes interviews with successful women in the industry on a range of issues, including Myrna Rivera, Stacey Francis, Kim D.H. Butler, Donna Skeels Cygan, Kimberly Foss and Christina Povenmire.
