OXNARD, CA--(Marketwired - Mar 17, 2015) - CalAmp (
"The LMU-330 is a flexible, reliable solution for stolen vehicle recovery and a broad set of basic track-and-trace applications," said Greg Gower, Senior Vice President and General Manager of CalAmp's MRM business. "Its small footprint and internal antennas enable covert installation. The optional backup battery makes the device tamper-resistant by enabling communications and an instant notification when power is removed, which can prevent the loss of a valuable asset. The LMU-330 is a complete vehicle tracking and communications device that offers extensive features at a compelling price that helps reduce the total cost of ownership for our customers."
The LMU-330 leverages CalAmp's proprietary PEG™ (Programmable Event Generator), an industry-leading onboard alert engine that continuously monitors a vehicle's environment and responds instantly to pre-defined threshold conditions such as time, date, motion, location, geo-zone and directly instrumented inputs. It also incorporates PULS™, CalAmp's over-the-air device management and maintenance software. Configuration parameters, PEG scripts and firmware can all be updated remotely through PULS, and the devices can be monitored across fleets to quickly identify issues throughout the entire lifecycle of the deployment.
Other key features of the LMU-330 include high-sensitivity GPS for accurate tracking, remote starter/vehicle disablement, advanced power-save modes and CalAmp's optional patent-pending 3-axis accelerometer for motion, tilt and impact detection. The LMU-330 also supports 12V and 24V power systems making it compatible with a broad set of passenger vehicles as well as both light and heavy duty trucks.
