Sanoma enters mobile gaming business

First game based on Disney's Donald Duck

Sanoma will publish its first mobile game. It is based on Disney's globally established Donald Duck group of characters. The game will be tested in the Australia and New Zealand markets during summer 2015.

Sanoma is publishing a mobile game based on Disney’s strong Donald Duck brand. The game will be tested in Australia and New Zealand during the spring and summer. After the testing phase, the game is planned for roll-out in additional markets, including Finland, in autumn 2015.

“Our cooperation with Disney provides Sanoma with an international audience and worldwide potential. This innovative strategy adventure game is positioned in a unique market segment with a broad audience”, says Ulla Leppä, president of Sanoma Kids Media.

The business model is based on in-app purchases that speed up the game progression. The game is designed for the iOS platform.
