Professional MMA Female Fighter, Bethany Marshall, to Join FENTRESS CrossFit for Barbells Against Bullies(TM) This Saturday


CHESAPEAKE, Va., March 26, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- FENTRESS CrossFit will host the Second Annual Barbells Against Bullies Charity Workout this Saturday, March 28, 2015 to support bullying prevention in the local schools in Hampton Roads. Joining the event this year will be Professional MMA Fighter, Bethany Marshall, who will be on hand to share tips with attendees on how to prevent bullying. In addition, members of the Hickory High School football team will be present in support of the event. This event is open to the public and begins at 9am Saturday. FENTRESS CrossFit is located at 624 Innovation Drive, Suite 105, Chesapeake, VA 23320. Proceeds from the event will benefit the expansion of bullying prevention efforts by the National Center for the Prevention of Community Violence.

The National Center for the Prevention of Community Violence promotes the GreenZone™ program, which encourages civility through respectful communication for schools and communities. The GreenZone™ program is currently being used in Elementary, Middle and High School classrooms across the country. In Chesapeake, the GreenZone™ program is utilized at Butts Road Primary School and is being considered for expansion to additional schools.
