Riga, 2015-03-27 10:50 CET (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Commenting on the decision of a court in the Netherlands compelling Spirits International to stop selling Stolichnaya and Moskovskaya vodka in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg, JSC Latvijas balzams announced that the volumes produced for distribution in the Benelux countries are insignificant and this decision will not affect the business operations of the company.
The SPI Group, the parent company of the Stoli Group, on whose behalf Stolichnaya and Moskovskaya vodkas are made in Latvia, has also announced that it still owns the Stolichnaya and Moskovskaya trademarks in over 190 markets across the world, except in Russia and will examine further steps in connection with this decision.
