Connecture's Grant Hoffman to Serve as Panelist at the IHC's Private Exchange Forum

Experts on the Panel Will Discuss the Employee Benefits Landscape, Defined Contribution Models, and How Private Exchanges Can Promote Overall Health and Wellness While Lowering Costs

BROOKFIELD, Wis., March 30, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Connecture, Inc., a provider of web-based information systems used to create health insurance marketplaces, today announced that Grant Hoffman, the company's vice president and general manager of private exchanges, will participate in a panel discussion at the Institute for HealthCare Consumerism's (IHC) Private Exchange FORUM. Taking place in Dallas, Texas from March 31 – April 1, the event will provide employers, brokers, advisors and insurers with an opportunity to gain valuable insights on private exchanges and relevant topics and trends.

Hoffman will participate in, "The Importance of Integrating Health Management and Private Exchange Models," a panel conversation that will examine the increasing demand for private exchanges that promote healthy behavior, address employees' lifestyles and needs, and reduce employers' costs while increasing productivity.

"Employers are increasingly looking for benefit solutions that help control costs, while still presenting their employees with the health and wellness products and services they need," said Hoffman. "This discussion will delve into both the barriers and opportunities associated with integrating population health management initiatives into private exchanges. In addition, we will also look at how total population health may be impacted by the industry's evolution towards a defined contribution model."

The panel will be moderated by Ernie Harris, NPDP, executive vice president of exchange solutions at Maestro Healthcare Technology. Panel participants include Rob Harkins, practice leader, private exchanges at Willis; Hoffman; Joseph O'Brien, executive chairman at Interactive Health; and Marc Salinas, senior vice president at Optum Market.
