AllDigital Brevity Speeds the Upload of Broadcast Media Files to Microsoft Azure Media Services

By Compressing, Encoding, and Delivering in Parallel, AllDigital Brevity Accelerates File-Based Video Workflows to Microsoft Azure

IRVINE, Calif., March 31, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Today AllDigital Holdings, Inc. ("AllDigital"), (OTCBB:ADGL) announced plans to support Microsoft Azure Media Services by making available an AllDigital Brevity engine optimized for Azure virtual machines. With almost no limitation to geographic region or video file type, customers can leverage one-step workflows in Microsoft Azure via the AllDigital Brevity solution.

With AllDigital Brevity, customers can avoid the expense of sending files on costly hard drives or the delays associated with waiting on local encoders to transcode files. AllDigital Brevity software extends Azure Media Services by adding support for the reading and writing of over 300 broadcast file formats and codecs using an intuitive, web-based interface.

According to the Cisco Visual Networking Index (VNI) 2014 Update, the sum of all forms of video will be in the range of 80 to 90 percent of global consumer traffic by 2018. "AllDigital Brevity is a solution capable of driving acceleration in video workflows and delivering real measurable value," says Cisco Strategist Anoop Nannra.

Azure Media Services customers with video upload or workflow requirements should be directed to www.alldigital.com/azure_media_services for further information on this offering.

"At Microsoft, we see tremendous value in allowing our customers to utilize broadcast file formats and file-based workflows on Azure Media Services," stated Vibhor Kapoor, Director of Product Marketing, Microsoft Azure. "AllDigital Brevity improves upload times and extends the breadth of video file formats customers can use on our platform."

AllDigital will be at the National Association of Broadcasters Convention in Las Vegas from April 13-16 with Microsoft at booth SL6610 and will be presenting on Wednesday, April 15 from 11 AM to 1 PM Pacific Daylight Time and Thursday, April 16 from 12:30 PM - 2:00 PM.
