Statistics for March 2015 and the first quarter of the 2015 financial year

In March 2015 AS Tallink Grupp transported 643 700 passengers which is more than an 8% decrease compared to March 2014. The number of trucks and trailers decreased over 2% to 27 730 units and the number of passenger vehicles remained on the same level with 77 673 units transported.

In the first quarter of the 2015 financial year (January-March) AS Tallink Grupp transported 1 793 414 passengers which is nearly a 6% decrease compared to the previous year. The number of trucks and trailers decreased over 2% to 75 172 units transported and the number of passenger vehicles decreased by almost 2% to 211 429 units in same comparison.

AS Tallink Grupp’s passenger, cargo unit and passenger car numbers for March 2015 and first quarter of the financial year were the following:

The following operational factors influenced the development in March 2015:

FINLAND-SWEDEN
In December 2014 the cargo ferry Sea Wind stopped operating on the Turku-Stockholm route.

ESTONIA-FINLAND
In August 2014 the cruise ferry Baltic Queen started operating on the Tallinn-Helsinki route, replacing the cruise ferry Silja Europa. The cargo ferry Sea Wind started operating on the Tallinn-Helsinki route in January 2015.

ESTONIA-SWEDEN
In August 2014 the cruise ferry Romantika started operating on the Tallinn-Stockholm route, replacing the cruise ferry Baltic Queen.

LATVIA-SWEDEN
In August 2014 the cruise ferry Romantika stopped operating on the Riga-Stockholm route, the cruise ferry Isabelle continues operating on the route.
