Leveraging OPEN MINDS 25+ years of market intelligence in the field, Ms. Oss will lead three sessions at the NATCON Conference focused on helping executives develop the competencies they need to thrive in the changing health and human service market - including building a technology strategy and managing provider & managed care partnerships

GETTYSBURG, Pa., April 6, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- OPEN MINDS' Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Monica E. Oss, will lead the plenary session, "Making Technology 'Work' in Behavioral Health," at the 2015 National Council for Behavioral Health NATCON Conference in Orlando, Florida on April 20, 2015.

The plenary session will focus on the strategic role of technology in health and human services. "The effective use of technology will be the differentiator between organizations that thrive and organizations that just survive," explains Ms. Oss. "The reshaping of the financing and service delivery landscape — integrated service delivery models, value-based contracting, consumerism — is not just opening up opportunities for new uses of technology. It is making the use of technology an essential ingredient for success."

In addition to the plenary session, Ms. Oss will lead two additional workshops at the conference — "Improving Your Organization's Consumer Engagement Through Mobile Technologies" and "The Power of Partnerships: Providers and Managed Care."

In the workshop, "Improving Your Organization's Consumer Engagement Through Mobile Technologies," attendees will learn how early adopters of consumer engagement technologies are making it work — and get a first-hand look at four innovative technologies: MyStrength, GingerIo, Big White Wall, and Health Buddy.

In the workshop, "The Power of Partnerships: Providers and Managed Care," Ms. Oss will focus on the challenges of developing a partnership with health plans — and the opportunities for better consumer service. The session will cover the substantial change that the health care financing and service delivery landscape has witnessed over the past five years. Attendees will learn more about what these evolving relationships can be, and will be in the future with partnerships that feature shared decision-making and gainsharing.
