BOSTON, Mass., April 7, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Not-for-profit Road Scholar, the world leader in lifelong learning since 1975 and a local sponsor of the recent Public Broadcasting System (PBS) documentary The Roosevelts: An Intimate History, is underwriting Wolf Hall, a new series adapted from the award-winning novel by Hilary Mantel.
Wolf Hall began its national run on PBS this month, and chronicles the rise of Thomas Cromwell as the chief advisor of Henry VIII. In addition to being a local underwriter of the series on PBS stations in New York, Boston, Chicago and Miami, Road Scholar has developed "Wolf Hall" on Location: The Places & Personalities of Tudor England, a 13-day educational adventure that enlists expert theologians and historians to explore not only the fascinating history of the Tudor dynasty but also properties featured in the series, including Montecute House and Lacock Abbey.
