USHCC Congratulates Texas Health Resources for Ranking Among Fortune's "100 Best Companies to Work For"

WASHINGTON, April 20, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) congratulates Texas Health Resources on being recognized by Fortune magazine as one of the "100 Best Companies to Work For." Texas Health Resources is a non-profit network of hospitals in North Texas, operating with 24 health facilities. The company was ranked #69 on Fortune's list.

Fortune magazine's annual "100 Best Companies to Work For" is created in partnership with Great Place to Work, which conducts extensive employee surveys from American corporations. Placements on the list are based on employees' outlooks on a variety of factors, including: management credibility, workplace camaraderie, job satisfaction, employee benefits, hiring practices, diversity efforts, and internal communication.

"This recognition is a wonderful honor for our organization and a testament to the work of every member of the Texas Health family. Being named one of the 2015 Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For® is especially meaningful because Fortune's metrics took into account the very challenging period we faced last year. This speaks to the way we take care of and support each other, and that is undoubtedly reflected in the compassion and care we show our patients. This honor lets the nation know what we have long known: Texas Health is a great place to work," said Barcley Berdan, FACHE, CEO of Texas Health Resources.

Texas Health Resources was formed in 1997, and is now one of the largest non-profit health systems in the United States, serving the largest number of patients in the North Texas region. Texas Health has 24 acute-care and short-stay hospitals within its network, with more than 5,500 physicians and over 20,500 total company employees.

"The USHCC is proud to see Texas Health Resources recognized for its outstanding leadership, care, and stewardship of its employees. As an association that promotes the growth and wellbeing of American businesses, we recognize the importance of a supportive and optimistic workplace that challenges and rewards its employees, and Texas Health does just that," said USHCC President & CEO Javier Palomarez. "With this recognition, Texas Health is joining the ranks of other visionary companies like Google, Goldman Sachs, and EY. We commend our friends at Texas Health for their leadership and investments in their workforce, and look forward to aiding their efforts for years to come."
