MacAulay-Brown, Inc. CEO Keynotes WashingtonExec Rising Stars Leadership Series

TYSONS CORNER, Virginia, April 20, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- DAYTON, Ohio, April 20, 2015 - MacAulay-Brown, Inc. (MacB), a leading National Security company delivering advanced engineering services and product solutions to Defense, Intelligence, Special Operations Forces, Homeland Security and Federal agencies, announced today that on March 18, MacB President and CEO and author of "Get Off the Bench, Sid Fuchs, was the keynote speaker at the WashingtonExec Rising Stars leadership series. The event, which focused on the importance of building strategic networks and personal relationships, was held at the Altamira Corporation headquarters in Tysons Corner, Va.

"Mr. Fuchs used his dynamic personality and captivating professional journey to discuss networking as a topic," Kristin Panzarella, of CPS Professional Services, said. "Right away, he grabbed our attention and continued to connect through using his own relatable personal experiences. Mr. Fuchs' presentation related to not only the professional environment but how networking crosses all aspects of our lives. His insights gave me a different perspective and a lot to think about."

Drawing on his more than 30 years of experience as a senior executive, thought leader and published author, Fuchs counseled the audience of young professionals to take seriously the art of building and nurturing a network.

"Trust is the currency of all relationships," Fuchs said. "To develop a true network that is effective, you must build valuable relationships. Get out of the mindset that you need to push your business card and your agenda, and instead, think in terms of how you can help the people you meet."

As part of the question and answer session, Fuchs was asked how best to balance a hectic work schedule, manage a network and personal responsibilities. Fuchs responded, "I think it's about work-life integration, not work-life balance. Balance implies you must do one or the other, whereas integration allows you to combine the demands of your personal and professional lives, when appropriate, which will undoubtedly allow you to achieve and enjoy more experiences in both dimensions."

The Rising Stars group is comprised of young professionals and millennials whose parents are executives in the government contracting industry and who also work in the business.
