U Squared Interactive Expands To Serve 14 New Customer Groups Through Launch Of Beating the Blues 2.0

U Squared Interactive has released version 2.0 of its Blues the Blues US web-based cognitive behavioral therapy program with enhanced features & increased device compatibility


GETTYSBURG, Pa., April 20, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- On February 3, 2014, U Squared Interactive LLC (U Squared) released version 2.0 of its Beating the Blues US web-based cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) program. Beating the Blues US is the first and only web-based CBT program recognized by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) as a proven, evidence-based treatment for stress, depression, and anxiety. Since its launch, U Squared has expanded its reach from 8 customer groups to now serve 22 customer groups throughout the United States with its Beating the Blues US program.

Over time, we saw a need for improvements in the Beating the Blues US program in order to more effectively support and care for these individuals," said Sharon Hicks, a U Squared Interactive board member. Beating the Blues has been used worldwide to combat the barriers to service delivery such as stigma, geography, and limited provider availability. With Beating the Blues 2.0, organizations are able to reach an even larger number of individuals through its increased compatibility with all devices including tablets, smartphones, and Apple products. The new version also features five 15 minute mini modules, compared to version one which featured eight 50 minute sessions. These new mini modules allow users to more easily complete the program at their own pace, typically over an eight week period.

Key features of the new version 2.0 program include:

  • Personal, customer specific URLs
  • Activation codes no longer expire after 90 days
  • Questionnaires are built into the program after designated sections
  • Users have the ability to complete sessions or modules back to back if they choose
