Santa Fe Group A/S, formerly The East Asiatic Company Ltd. A/S, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Christian Moller Laursen as Group Chief Financial Officer and member of the Executive Board, effective from the 18th of May 2015.
Following the appointment of Mr. Martin Thaysen as Group CEO in December 2014, Christian Moller Laursen’s appointment represents another key milestone in the transformation of Santa Fe. As the Group CFO, Christian Moller Laursen will be based at the Group Head Office in London.
Christian Moller Laursen is 49 years old and a Danish citizen. For the past 11 years, Mr. Laursen has held the position of CFO and Vice President for APM Terminals, based in The Hague, Netherlands. As a business unit within the A.P. Moller – Maersk Group, APM Terminals has developed to become one of the leading global developers and operators of marine port infrastructure, with a turnover of USD 4.5 billion in 2014. During his tenure, Christian Moller Laursen oversaw the entrepreneurial start-up phase of the business as well as its transformation into a world leader with significant growth and revenues.
Before joining APM Terminals, Christian Moller Laursen had a successful and varied 14-year career with A.P. Moller – Maersk, which included roles as General Manager for Finance and Administration in Indonesia, Pakistan, Taiwan and Singapore before moving to a regional CFO role for South America based in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
