The term of office of Ilvars Petersons Member of the Management Board of Sadales tīkls AS, a subsidiary of Latvenergo AS, will expire on April 29 this year. The amendments are approved in the General Meeting of Sadales tīkls AS Shareholders on April 21 this year.
New Member of the Board will be selected in open nomination procedure.
Sadales tīkls AS ensures the supply of electricity to over one million electricity users, with its services covering 99% of the country’s territory, as well as performs monitoring of electricity use, activities aimed at reducing losses, electricity metering, and creation of new connections where necessary. To provide its distribution services, Sadales tīkls AS uses low-voltage and medium-voltage facilities. Medium-voltage network makes around one-third of the distribution system; low-voltage networks – around two-thirds. 26 764 transformer substations and 443 distribution points ensure the supply of electricity to the users’ electrical installations connected to the electricity network. The total length of the power distribution networks is nearly 95 000 kilometres. Sadales tīkls AS is one of the largest employers in Latvia - the company employs 2 550 people.
