Google Inc. (Nasdaq: GOOG) and YouTube, Inc. to Ring The Nasdaq Stock Market Closing Bell

ADVISORY, April 24, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) --

What:

Google Inc. (Nasdaq:GOOG) and YouTube, Inc. will visit the Nasdaq MarketSite in Times Square to kick-off YouTube's month-long 10th birthday celebrations. Founded in 2005, YouTube is the world's most popular online video community allowing more than a billion people to discover, watch and share originally created videos. YouTube provides a forum for people to connect, inform and inspire others across the globe and acts as a distribution platform for original content creators and advertisers large and small.

In honor of the occasion, Robert Kyncl, Google VP of Content and Business Operations for YouTube, will ring the Closing Bell. He will be joined by some of YouTube's top creators, Grace Helbig, Hannah Hart and Dude Perfect who between them have almost 9 million subscribers.

  • Grace Helbig: Hilarious, genuine, humble and caring, this self-proclaimed introvert, is a YouTube superstar, having amassed over 2.1 million subscribers with her authentic voice and irreverent humor. Her devoted fans tune in regularly to watch her channel, It's Grace (85 million views). Grace can now also add NYT bestselling author, star of Camp Takota, and host of the new E! primetime talk show, "The Grace Helbig Show," to her growing list of accolades.
  • Hannah Hart: Hannah's channel grew around the success of her show My Drunk Kitchen, where she cooks and makes puns while buzzed. A philanthropist at heart, Hannah has converted the energy of her global YouTube community of almost 2 million subscribers for good: she started a volunteer effort where fans regularly organize meetups at local food banks around the U.S. and the world.
  • Dude Perfect: Known for their incredible trick shots and "stereotypes" videos, in which they poke fun at common sports stereotypes. These 5 best friends and a panda have racked up impressive views and collaborations with sports celebrities from around the world while channeling their fame for good, working with charities including Charity Water.
