Vilnius, Lithuania, 2015-04-27 07:44 CEST (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Lithuanian electricity transmission system operator Litgrid invites to a presentation on last year’s activities, key results, progress of the strategic projects, future plans and challenges.
"Electricity transmission infrastructure belongs to the country and its people and has strategic importance on the country’s economy as well as our ability to grow. We aim to familiarize the public with the most important processes in the electricity sector and the possibilities they offer. Therefore, we invite you to a public presentation on our activities, "- says Daivis Virbickas, Litgrid CEO and Chairman of the Board.
The event “Electricity bridges: growth opportunities for Lithuania and the region” will be held on 29 April, 9:00 to 13:00, in ISM University of Management and Economics, Arkliu str. 18, Vilnius.
The Company's activities and results will be presented by Litgrid CEO Daivis Virbickas. Gitanas Nauseda, Chief economist at SEB will review the economic outlook for 2015-2016 for Lithuania and the world. The electricity market opportunities will be discussed by the representative from one of the largest electricity consumers in the country - Arkadiusz Pawlak, Quality, environmental and safety director at ORLEN Lithuania.
Litgrid Head of communications Vilija Railaitė will talk about corporate social responsibility and its role in strengthening civil society. The topics of public dialogue and participation will be further developed by professor Leonidas Donskis, who will present the topic "Do we need each other? The power of individualism and common endeavour in an era of life in the fast lane”.
