CEO of the Housing Financing Fun resigns


Sigurður Erlingsson, the CEO of the Housing Financing Fund, has requested that the Board of Directors of the Fund accept his resignation, and the Board has accepted his request. The Board of HFF will soon advertise the position of CEO as vacant. The new CEO will have the role of implementing any changes that may be made to the operation of the Fund due to changes in the arrangement of housing issues. The CEO's substitute, Gunnhildur Gunnarsdóttir, will temporarily take on the duties of the CEO, and the departing CEO will be available to her for consultation until a new permanent CEO has been recruited.

The Board of HFF would like to thank Sigurður for his important contribution to the Fund in recent years, having led the Fund through the difficult times in wake of the economic crash. In 2014, the Fund’s results were positive for the first time since 2007, the loan portfolio has improved and success has been achieved in the sale of appropriated assets.”
