Talent Board Announces Success of Candidate Experience 101 Workshops

New Series Explores Best Practices for Recruiting and Hiring; More 2015 Events to Be Announced

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwired - May 4, 2015) - Talent Board, a non-profit organization focused on the elevation and promotion of a quality candidate experience, today shared details of its first-ever Candidate Experience 101 workshops.

For the past four years, Talent Board has been surveying employers and candidates as part of the Candidate Experience (CandE) Awards and benchmarking program. This year, Talent Board is offering a series of half-day workshops across North America. Limited in size, registration for the events is complimentary for talent acquisition and recruiting professionals.

"Last year, the North American Candidate Experience Awards collected survey responses from more than 170 employers and 95,000 candidates. Inspired by this commitment to improving the candidate experience, Talent Board developed this series of workshops in order to connect with the talent acquisition community and explore current recruiting trends and promote best practices," said Gerry Crispin, Talent Board co-founder and chairman, and principal at CareerXroads. "The turnout for these first few events was outstanding; we are already in the midst of planning more workshops for the Midwest, East Coast and Canada, plus the 2nd Annual Candidate Experience Symposium this fall in Texas."

Each Candidate Experience 101 workshop includes a keynote presentation or panel discussion featuring previous CandE Award winners in addition to table discussions and networking opportunities. The first events in the series were held in San Francisco and Los Angeles in April with workshops scheduled to take place on Friday, May 8, 2015 in Chicago and Thursday, May 14, 2015 in Toronto.

Amelia Merrill, People Strategy for RMS, commented, "It was great to host one of the first Candidate Experience 101 workshops. These workshops are great opportunities to learn from your peers in the industry who care about the same thing you do… leveraging the candidate experience to attract and hire the best talent."
