Sales in April

Baltika’s consolidated sales revenue for April totalled 4,315 thousand euros, increasing by 1% compared to the same period last year continued operations revenue.

Baltika’s retail sales for April increased in the Baltic states by 4%, thereof increased in Estonia by 6% and in Lithuania by 4%. Retail sales in Latvia remained at the last year April level. In Russia, retail sales decreased by 43% compared to same period previous year. In local currency sales decreased in Russia by 33%. In the same period sales area in Russia decreased by 26%. Baltika’s consolidated retail sales revenue for April was 3,684 thousand euros, decreasing 3% compared to the same period last year.

In April one new multibrand retail store was opened in Estonia. At the end of April Baltika Group had 130 stores, among which franchise stores – 5 in Russia, 5 in Spain, 2 franchise stores in Belarus and 15 operating franchise stores in Ukraine. Average month sales area of shops operated by Baltika decreased by 3% compared to the same period last year.

Wholesale increased by 32% compared to April in previous year, e-com sales increased by over three times, i.e 208%.

Sales revenue for four months totalled 16,640 thousand euros, increasing by 1% compared to same period in previous year. Retail sales revenue was 14,124 thousand euros (-5% yoy), thereof the Baltic states sales increased by 1%. At the same period the Group’s average retail sales area decreased by 3%. Wholesale was 2,147 thousand euros (+58% yoy) and e-com revenues 346 thousand euros (+236% yoy).

In connection with Baltika’s reorganisation of Ukrainian retail business and selling the company there (agreement was signed on 29 April 2014), the sales revenue of the Ukrainian entity is presented as discontinued operation. Sales announcement presents only the results of continuing operations unless indicated otherwise.
