CONNECTICUT CHILDREN'S MEDICAL CENTER TO HOST WEBINAR ON NEW COMPREHENSIVE LYME DISEASE PROGRAM ON MAY 20


HARTFORD, Conn, May 4, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Connecticut Children's Medical Center will hold a webinar showcasing it's new Comprehensive Lyme Disease Program (860-545-TICK), the first and only one in the state of Connecticut, on Wednesday, May 20 from 12:15-1:15PM. The webinar will be presented by Lawrence Zemel, MD, Division Chief of Pediatric Rheumatology.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, as many as 300,000 Americans may contract Lyme Disease every year and less than 10% of Lyme Disease cases - fewer than 30,000 - are reported. Patients of Connecticut Children's Comprehensive Lyme Disease Program are evaluated by a team of physicians who are experts in treating the disease, ensuring each child receives the appropriate care for quick recovery.
