Forward Thinking Will Feature Conversations with Next-Generation Philanthropists and Other Thought Leaders
FAIRFIELD, Conn., May 5, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Foundation Source, the nation's largest provider of comprehensive services for private foundations, today announced the launch of its new podcast series, Forward Thinking. The series features interviews with thought leaders, entrepreneurs, and "Next-Gen" donors, who will share their insights about philanthropy and where it's headed. The podcasts are hosted by philanthropy veteran Dori Kreiger, who serves as Director of Client Experience at Foundation Source.
"We created Forward Thinking for philanthropically minded individuals who want to get the most out of their giving, not just impact, but also greater family engagement and more personal fulfillment," said Dori Kreiger. The inaugural podcast, "How to Raise Compassionate Kids," features family philanthropy expert, Susan Crites Prices, author of Generous Genes: Raising Caring Kids in a Digital Age, an update of her popular book, The Giving Family, which offers advice on conveying the value of charitable giving to one's offspring. In this podcast, Susan explains how parents, grandparents, and extended family can become "generosity coaches," using real-world experience and digital tools to inspire compassion and teach the fundamentals of philanthropy.

She also discusses her e-book, Lonely at the Top, revealing the anxiety, fear of failure, and self-consciousness that she experienced while trying to live up to her father's legacy.
- Michael Moody, Ph.D.: Michael Moody, Ph.D., answers our questions about next-generation donors. Who are they, and how are they thinking about philanthropy? Dr. Moody also discusses first-of-its-kind research, Next Gen Donors: Respecting Legacy, Revolutionizing Philanthropy, conducted by The Johnson Center for Philanthropy at Grand Valley State University and 21/64, a nonprofit consulting practice.
