E.Land Deploys Manhattan's Supply Chain Commerce Solutions to Deliver on Its Service Level and Business Growth Goals

SEOUL and ATLANTA, May 5, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Manhattan Associates, Inc. (Nasdaq:MANH) today announced that E.Land World Ltd., the largest apparel brand in South Korea and the core apparel subsidiary of global retail group E.Land, is implementing Manhattan's Supply Chain Commerce Solutions to help fulfill on its service promise to customers and enable future business growth.

"As a market-leading fashion brand, it is imperative that E.Land World is supported by an efficient, robust and agile supply chain infrastructure," explained Dr. Choon Woo Leem, vice president of Logistics at E.Land World. "The Manhattan solutions will help us optimize our supply chain operation and give us a highly flexible fulfilment capability, ensuring we can meet the increasingly sophisticated requirements of our customers."

With Manhattan's technology, E.Land World will be able to provide a speedy and consistent fulfillment experience to its customers. The solution deployment is already underway at the company's Cheonan distribution center (DC) in South Korea, a newly constructed 1 million sq. ft. facility employing 300 people and handling 340,000 stock-keeping units.

The implementation is being conducted by a joint team from Manhattan Associates, E.Land IT subsidiary E.Land Systems Ltd. and local Manhattan partner Value Chain Consulting & Technologies.

While the first phase of the project is focused on the South Korean DC supporting the apparel retail subsidiary, parent company E.Land plans to roll out the Manhattan technology to other group businesses in multiple geographies. E.Land expects the second phase of the project to commence with deployments at DCs supporting its retail business in China.

E.Land's retail operations span multiple markets around the world including China, Japan, Sri Lanka, United Kingdom, USA and Vietnam; it operates businesses in the restaurant, leisure, grocery, e-business and construction sectors; its apparel division boasts 60 different fashion brands; and group annual turnover exceeds USD 7 billion. In recent years, it has acquired the global marketing rights for K-Swiss, the global tennis shoe brand and launched the SPAO and MIXXO fashion brands in Japan.

Hiroshi Shimizu, Manhattan Associates' managing director for Japan and Korea, commented, "E.Land prides itself on using ground breaking systems and technology to continually develop new approaches and processes that help the company capitalize on every opportunity. With Manhattan's high performing Supply Chain Commerce Solutions, E.Land can look forward to increasing service levels, sales and profitability."
